As lifelong devotees of ’80s sitcom classic “The Golden Girls,” we could not have been more obsessed with Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande andJessie J’s “Bang Bang” performance at the 2014 American Music Awards.

The ladies were basically channeling Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia on Sunday, Nov. 23, and we’re not just talking about those glittering, all-gold ensembles they wore.

Jessie was totally the fearless, take-no-BS legend that was Sophia Petrillo.

Look how casually she challenged Taylor Swift to an audience dance-off. NO FEAR.

And Ariana was clearly the innocent, adorable Rose Nylund of the group.

Except with more booty-popping. (And more Christmas.)

Then again, we could also see her as Dorothy Zbornak’s straight-talking spiritual successor.
